We are seeking an Event Manager to join our small, high performing marketing team to plan and execute a wide variety of events including regional customer conferences, national and regional trade shows, executive roundtables and our annual strategic client event. This role is responsible for the end-to-end planning and logistics for these events including selection, identification and negotiation, communications before, during and after the event, agenda and content, budget management, and results tracking. Of course, it's not all up to you - you'll work closely with the rest of the marketing team, sales, Professional Services and many others across the company to make these events a success.

Responsibilities

  • Plan events from start to finish according to objectives, target audience, budget and other requirements, inclusive of site selection (city and venue), fee negotiation, invitations, agenda/content definition, pre/during/post event communication, staff training and management, etc. Ensure day of event goes smoothly
    • 4-6 regional customer conferences (approx. 1 day each)
    • Annual strategic client event (2+ day event in a compelling location)
    • National trade shows
    • Regional trade show plan
    • Executive roadshow series
  • Delegate responsibilities across the team, ensure staff is adequately trained and executing as needed
  • Promote event internally and externally; drive attendance
  • Build and manage to event budgets
  • Monitor and analyze event performance, constantly look for ways to optimize
  • Hire and manage third parties as needed (bartenders, caterers, entertainment, etc)
  • Ensure event messaging is on brand

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years' event management experience (software, healthcare or both preferred)
  • Exceptional project management skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event management and a desire to make an impact - whether it's qualified leads, new opportunities, pipeline progression or customer satisfaction, our events drive results
  • Financial acumen
  • Customer-service orientation
  • Excellent people skills to interact with staff, colleagues, vendors and event attendees
  • Strong communication skills including negotiations and comfort level with executives
  • Collaborative, upbeat work ethic - you like to take ownership, learn, and have fun
  • Must be open to 25-50% travel
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality Management or related field
  • Experience in SalesForce and Pardot is a plus
