The Strategic Account Manager is a senior level position responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships with strategic enterprise customers.  Accountable for approximately ten designated customers, the Strategic Account Manager is responsible for overall account ownership, ensuring organization rollout of our solution, and account renewal.   The Strategic Account Manager plays a proactive role, encompassing a deep knowledge of a client's organization and being in-tune with its short term initiatives and long term business goals.   Acting as a liaison between the client and the different departments within Ingenious Med, the Strategic Account Manager represents the entire range of company products and services to assigned customers always ensuring customer's needs and expectations are met by the company.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Establishes productive, professional tactical, strategic and C levels relationships in assigned customer accounts
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers' expectations
  • Act as an escalation point for high visibility issues. Engages Ingenious Med senior management as necessary.
  • Meets assigned targets for account penetration and strategic objectives in assigned accounts
  • Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and three-year period
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis
  • Act as a project manager for client projects including:
    • Coordinating with sales to determine pricing
    • Delivering orders and obtaining sign-off
    • Facilitation of conference calls
    • Providing updates/project plans as needed
    • Facilitating testing and move to production
    • Obtaining sign off and verification from Sales and Accounting that projects have been billed upon completion. 
    • Work closely with Sales and Business Development to identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts.
    • Research healthcare industry trends and regulatory issues to provide clients with a consultative analysis of solutions available within IM. 
    • Schedule quarterly onsite visits including a yearly executive level account review/product roadmap meeting.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES

  • Achieves assigned account penetration in designated strategic accounts
  • Achieves strategic customer objectives defined by company management
  • Completes strategic customer account plans that meet company standards
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards
  • Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame
  • Ensures renewal of accounts

 

ORGANIZATION ALIGNMENT

  • Reports to the VP of Strategic Account Management and Customer Operations
  • Enlists the support of Sales Executives, Sales Associates, and other sales and management resources as needed
  • Closely coordinates company executive involvement with customer management
  • Works closely with implementation resources to coordinate rollout
  • Works closely with Customer Service Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution
  • This position will help lead various Client Focus Teams dedicated to account management

Qualifications

  • Four year college degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum five years of strategic business experience (Healthcare preferred)
