The Implementations department is responsible for bringing new and existing customers live on Ingenious Med's web and mobile-based application. The Application Consultant (AC) is a member of the Application Delivery team that is responsible for effectively and efficiently delivering IM solutions according to best practices that ensure the best customer value. The AC is primarily responsible for providing application and workflow expertise, gap analysis of current state versus future state, business process design, and application and end-user readiness to provide a transformative implementation. This role will work closely with the Application Analyst, members of the Project Management team, and technical resources. The AC interacts with team members and clients in person (in office or on-site) and remotely, and with discretion and independent judgement in his/her day-to-day responsibilities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a product expert for all IM solutions and use industry expertise to develop a roadmap for the project and to advise customers on the best use of the application given their unique needs, objectives and the current landscape of healthcare.
  • Participate in project planning with EPM/PM with regards to application specialty assessment, application configuration, and training plan/go-live.
    • Support project team with management of client relationship.
  • Contribute to short and long term goals of a project/client.
  • Use independent judgement to identify and escalate project risks and determine and execute appropriate resolutions.
  • Participate in all project activities and milestones, onsite and/or remotely with project team.
    • Serve as application delivery expert and advocate.
    • Understanding client business needs and desired outcomes.
  • Conduct onsite and/or remote application, billing and coding, and specialty assessments.
    • Consult with the customer to understand and identify client/customer problems and recognize core issues that need to be addressed.
    • Gather and document current processes and potential risks/barriers to adoption and IM's best practice.
  • Recommend optimal application configuration to the Application Analyst based on the unique and particular circumstances as defined in assessment meetings with the client.
    • Support and participate in application configuration with Application Analyst as needed.
  • Partner with customer to identify and update or create new policies and procedures to operationalize the IM solution within their practices to drive value and continuously meet business needs.
  • Validate application set up and pre go-live work through prior to super user training and testing.
    • Confirm environment configuration meets IM's best practices and workflows determined in client assessments.
    • Ensure application implementation is consistent with client's business needs and desired goals.
  • Partner with project team and client to develop training schedule and provide training services as needed.
    • Use discretion to determine how the user will be trained.
  • Assist with planning and execution of fully integrated readiness testing.
  • Provide go live support onsite and/or remote.
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce records and other internal tools.
  • Contribute to the Application Delivery team's short and long term goals.
  • Work with Application Delivery leadership team to develop new and/or make improvements to team's practices, policies and procedures.
  • Stay abreast of changes to the application and impacts to the healthcare industry.
  • Work on special projects as assigned.

 TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Up to 80%

 

 KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Expertise in IM products and solutions or similar charge capture solution(s).
  • Healthcare IT and Revenue Cycle knowledge, with expertise in Professional Services space. 
  • Experience in Provider-based billing, coding, or insurance billing.
  • Ability to lead and influence people and projects; in person, over the phone and by webinar.
  • Strong consultative skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills and customer service focus.
  • Manage multiple assignments, tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to excel in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Use sound and independent judgement.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years of client facing project experience, healthcare industry preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required
  • Proficiency in SQL preferred
  • Salesforce experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management
  • Experience in Provider-based billing, coding, or insurance billing a plus
